Hoot Magazine

"The Hoot " is our bi-monthly magazine which keeps you informed about all our activities and events.  It also carries useful information from a variety of other sources and is growing in popularity.    Launched in 2007 the magazine has a distribution of 1500 copies per issue, with an estimated readership of between 7000 and 8000.   It is available here as a downloadable pdf file, or as a paper copy through the post.   If you'd like to be added to the mailing list please contact us.

Something to shout about?
 

If you have an event, meeting, product or activity which you'd like to tell people about then "The Hoot" is an ideal vehicle for disseminating information, and we are pleased to accept advertising for local events and activities, as well as from local businesses.   All advertising is accepted on the understanding that appearance in the magazine does not constitute a recommendation on our part;  and all advertisements but be appropriate tand meet our organisational standards and ethics.   For details of our advertising tarrif please contact us.

The magazine goes to a wide range of readers including care homes, main libraries, larger GP practices, social services, PCT, ethnic community groups,  neighbourhood resource centres, Age Concern shops and groups,  clubs and day centres for older people, individual older people, their relatives and carers.  In addition copies are sent to a wide range of voluntary agencies in the county.

We have around 30 sets of plain white plates (large and small) and dessert bowls surplus to requirements.  Robust and dishwasher-proof they are ideal for a community hall or cafe.

This year we were lucky enough to receive a donation that allowed us to make a film about our work. This film is now available to view here on our website!

Thank you to everyone who made use of their green token at Cheltenham's Waitrose store duing November. The total raised for Age Concern Gloucestershire was a fantastic £340.
