Still Here - A film about us
Posted In: General This year we were lucky enough to receive a donation that allowed us to make a film about our work. This film is now available to view here on our website!
Working closely with the award-winning film company, Omni Productions, we have produced a 3-minute film which tells one man's story. But it is a story that is recognisable to many of us.

Meeting Room for Hire
Posted In: General Now that the refurbishment earlier this year is complete Age Concern Gloucestershire once again has a meeting room in the city centre available for hire.
Accomodating 12 to 15 people and offering hourly or daily rates the meeting room is well situated for access by bus, car or train. Hourly or daily rates and refreshment options are available. See under 'Hire our Facilities' for more details.
Big Knit 2010

The Big Knit is going ahead again this year and once again we are calling loyal supporters and keen knitters to get busy with the needles and produce lots of little hats for Innocent Smoothie bottles. The charity will receive 25p for every hatted bottle sold and funds raised from the 2010 campaign will go to the ‘Winter Warmth’ fund.

Tea Party raises £720
Posted In: General A tea party organised in the beautiful grounds of Newlands Care Home, Stow-on-the-Wold raised £720 for Age UK Gloucestershire.
One of the 30th Birthday events, it provided an opportunity for the charity to introduce supporters to its new President Dame Janet Trotter. Trustee Sir Robert Morland, who organised the event, also wished to thank the staff of Newlands and Berkeley Healthcare for supporting the occasion.
Christmas Event

It may seem odd to be thinking of Christmas - but we have to plan well ahead to book Gloucester Cathedral for our popular annual celebration of the festive season.
The early warning is just to let you know that we are having our 'Christmas in the Cathedral' event on a Friday this year - Friday, 17 December - and we will be starting at 2pm. More details and tickets will be available nearer the time.
Annual Golf Day Fundraiser
Posted In: General Our annual Golf Day at Rodway Hill Club, Highnam on Sunday, 22 August was the most successful yet. The car park was full by mid-morning and with the sun shining down a good day was had by all. The event raised a total of £921, including £134 from the raffle
