Corporate Partnerships

Age UK Gloucestershire believes that corporate partnerships should be collaborative, mutually beneficial, enjoyable for all involved, and where possible, tailored to suit individual needs and expectations.

We are lucky to have been working closely with a range of corporate partners over the last few years and would like to thank them for their continued support.

Examples of some of our corporate partnership work will be available on this site shortly.

Why we make a good partner

An important cause:
We know that charities such as ourselves working with older people are often not as popular with supporters as say charities that are health related, or those that provide services for children. We firmly believe however, that a society that cares about and cares for its older people is a civilised society and we hope that your organisations agrees that our cause is well worth supporting.

A cause that will affect everyone:
Old age will have an impact on all of us - through growing older ourselves but also through the experience of supporting our parents and other relatives as they age. Our cause will always be topical, relevant and far-reaching.

A local focus:
Age UK Gloucestershire provides services right across the county. We are a local charity, driven by local need and committed to ensuring the older people of Gloucestershire recieve the support and assistance they need to ensure quality of life.

A well-known charity brand:
Age UK is a well established and highly recognisable brand both nationally and locally. We believe that it brings with it a number of positive connotations including reliability, trust and compassion.

A personal touch:
As a mid-sized local charity we are committed to ensuring a personal and mutually-beneficial relationship with all of our supporters - both individuals and companies alike.

Our small but committed fundraising team would welcome your call if you would like to find out more about how we can work together.

A long-term friendship
There are many ways we could work togehter and we're happy to establish both short and long term partnerships. But however you support us, you will remain a life-long friend of Age UK Gloucestershire.

Ways we can work together

Charity of the Year
As your Charity of the Year we will work closely with you to engage your staff in our work, plan events and activities, make partnerships as enjoyable as possible and create a friendship that we hope will continue on after the year ends.

You can find out more by calling our Fundraising Co-ordinator on 01452 422660.

Employee Fundraising
Fundraising for a charity offers your staff the opportunity to learn and develop new skills whilst having some fun and supporting a local charity. We run a number of fundraising inititatives throughout the year which are ideal for companies who would like to give their employees the chance to fundraise. They include The Great Sunday Lunch and Silver Stars. Go to our events pages to find out more.

We can develop opportunities that are tailored to you and the personal development plans of your staff.

You might also like to consider the Payroll Giving scheme for your employees. We can support you in setting up the scheme and would be happy to speak to you further.

Payroll giving is a simple and tax effective way for individual staff to make a regular charitable donation. Donations are taken directly from the gross salary or pension (before tax is deducted). For every £1 earnt, 20p is currently paid in tax (basic rate). So if an employee chose to pledge £10 a month to Age UK Gloucestershire, only £8 would actually be deducted from their net pay.

Corporate Volunteering Opportunities
Many of our services rely on the hard work and dedication shown by our volunteers. We know that they also gain many benefits from being a volunteer. We provide a wide range of opportunities for employees who may wish to begin volunteering. Please see our volunteering section for full details.

Sponsorship
We have a wide range of projects currently running, and in development, that could offer great sponsorship opportunities.

You can find out more about becoming a Sponsor by calling our Fundraising Co-ordinator today on 01452 422660.
