Campaigning

“Vision without action is merely dreaming. Action with no vision is just passing time. But with vision and action you can change the world”

Campaigning is an important part of our work. It is about drawing attention to areas of concern; about taking action to effect change; and about giving the older people of Gloucestershire a voice. Through petitions, debates, question and answer sessions with politicians, rallies, media coverage and other means Age Concern Gloucestershire, and Age Concern England and Help the Aged nationally, are able to highlight those issues which older people tell us concern them the most.

With a General Election in our sights Age Concern England and Help the Aged are already working on posters and other information to ensure that older people's issues are promoted at the election.

Don't forget to check this page regularly to see what we are doing, and how you can become involved in making sure the voices of older people from Gloucestershire are heard.
